summer is almost over and school has started in most states, mine included
well i was really surprised to see how many guys had long hair!
its become very popular, atleast where i live. definately a big change from just a few years ago, when it seemed EVERYONE had a buzzcut
and in the store the other day.. i saw many of the posters on the wall featured boys w/ long hair
i think it looks great. glad to see more people are trying longer hair
I agree. Earlier this summer I was noticing that a lot of displays in retail stores showed men with long(er) hair. It's what actually got me to thinking I'd let mine grow.
I also just returned from a trip to Paris and I noticed a) the majority of men on the street have long hair and, b) again, lots of advertising using long(er) haired men.
Cool, huh?
Hi,
I have long hair and have always had it long. It's gotten me some rude comments at times but lately, like last spring it got me some money to pose for some pictures. Boring, but I like the money.
Leslie.....and, yes, I'ma guy...
mine included
Yeah, it sure looks that way. I was out today down in south NJ and unfortunately got caught in some school traffic. I was surprised too to see a lot of, what appeared to be, juniors/seniors wearing it 70's style, reminiscent of Pacino's "Serpico".

That sounds cool, I sort of see what you are saying but I have my hair long for me and not just because it's in style. I can finally grow it long now and not have to worry about my job. Three years ago I had a Kieth Partrige style going on, now that was different for the time. I guess I just march to the beat of my own drum. I agree I do see more of it now, but the true longhairs have had it all along.
Cheers!
In my highschool of over 700 students, there are only 5-10 kids with long hair. I know half of them. There could be a few more, but none that i have yet to see
At my high school of 2500 students (which is only 11th and 12th grade, believe it or not - the other campus (9th and 10th grade) has another 2200), there are about 5 guys with long hair. That's counting moderately long hair, as in around shoulder length. I'm pretty sure I have the longest hair out of any guy here, and mine's only about 15 inches.
You wouldn't think a high school with that many kids would be very conservative, but it's more so than many other high schools I know of. I'm in Texas, near Houston, anyways.
It's really popular where I live too. Anyone growing their hair longer than a shag cut, I've found, is generally trying to emulate some Japanese anime or manga character. Interesting way to start a trend, but fascinating nonetheless.
I also agree with you. I am seeing more and more men with long hair or people who are growing their hair out. It seems to me that it is kind of going into style. I've been growing mine out for a year and a half and I love it. I feel much better about myself. I looked real stupid with short hair.
