I'm definitely in the "awkward stage" but I've noticed something strange. Last haircut I had (mid-May)I got completely buzzed except for the front which was left at about 1/2". I think my hair is growing nicely (it's about 2.5") but the front - which was originally longer - is now shorter than the rest of my hair. It makes for a very "unique" style.
I know there's no such thing as normal, but...well, is this normal?
How can the longer part of my hair be shorter and the shorter part of my hair be longer when I haven't done anything to any of it??!?
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about it.
Hair grows at different rates - the front would appear to grow slower than the rest, which can be a pain when you are nearing the ponytail milestone.
Hey, I just wanted to mention that I got a kick out of your introductory note awhile back. All the nick names you endured made me laugh (not at you, just the names were funny). You seem to have a good attitude and a good sense of humor, both attributes will come in handy in the next few months. :-)
A rather belated "welcome!",
Oversurf,
Thanks for the belated welcome. And the suggestion that hair grows at different rates. I figured that was probably true, but I just thought I'd check.
Glad you liked my "introductory" paragraph. I have been ribbed quite a bit about my hair, but since being on the board I've decided to turn the other cheek. It's my hair, right? And if I want to let it grow, then so be it!
Regards,
Wannabe Sampson
P.S. You mentioned the ponytail stage. That seems so far off I can barely imagine it. I'll keep the board posted. Thanks
