I was at the temple of Starbucks as I usually am on Saturday morning while my son takes a guitar lesson, and as I walked in a noticed a man seeming near my age sitting outside with blond shoulder length hair. I went inside, my my offering to the deity and got my cup of blessing. I sat down to do some reading. Shortly, he came inside and over to me and said: I just had to come in and meet you.
IN short, he said he had just had 5 inches cut off his hair, and then he saw mine and regretted it. I invited him to sit and we talked. We are both massage therapists, part-time, and teachers (I teach Latin, he teaches yoga). It was a really cool connection, hair, therapeutic work, etc. I have a new friend!

Yes, I believe this astronomical incidence gives prove to the ancient saying dating all the way back to Mesopotamia: "anything can happen at the StarBucks."
But seriously, this is really cool. What are the chances? Practically none... Teacher, massage therapist (Odd combination in my opinion... What if your student hired you without knowin' that it's you?), hair, StarBucks dependency, etc.

Actually not as odd a combo as you might think. The majority of certified massage therapists work part-time. Many are teachers and nurses. As for a student "hiring" me--would never happen. First, I only work on minors with a parent present in the treatment room; second, I interview all new clients before their appointment is made; third, if a student did seek therapeutic work from me, I would refer him/her to another therapist out of conflict of interest. All this is a bit off-topic, but they are interesting issues.
