Hey guys, first off let me tell you where I am coming from. Its been 6 months since my last hair cut, I have worn my hair short (1-2 inches) for my entire life up until this point. I've been reading this board on and off for about the last 4 months, and I am grateful for all the tips I have been able to find here.
My hair is in the "awkward stage", I have relativly wavy/curly hair, and I live in South Florida, where it's humid 365 days a year. I don't have a problem with having curly hair, but at it's current length my hair looks silly, as I get a sort of "half curl" on the sides that leaves my ends pointing almost straight up.
Last week I bought a bottle of Pantene Smooth & Sleek conditioner, forsaking my Aussie. The results have been very good, aside from when I am outdoors for any more than a few minutes. While I suspect there is no product that will prevent my hair from reacting to ambient moisture in the air, I am looking for a product that will help to prevent my hair from curling up as it dries. Pantene was doing the trick, but now there have been a couple of posts referring to "CONES", and I am concerned.
My question is this: Is there a product that will help me keep my hair from curling up as it dries that does not contain "CONES"? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm with you on all fronts, i.e. type of hair, etc., and would love an answer to this question. Thanks for posing it.
If the Pantene is working for you, go ahead and use it. Just keep an eye out for buildup, which might make your hair feel stiff. If you notice anything like that, rinse your hair in 1/2 cup of vinegar in a quart of warm water. Simple and cheap.
I use Pantene all the time, and I've never had a problem.
what do you mean "cones" ? anyways, Ive been using that shampoo for last 3 months and its amazing, stay with it, really.
so whats cones?
