My brother made a comment the other day that I looked like Willie Nelson because of my hair. Mine isn't as quite as long as his yet but i'm working on it. :) My hair texture is very close to Willie's. I think Willie's hair is pretty neat looking. I have had a few thoughts of getting my hair cut because of the wavyness in my hair but i've come to accept and like my hair. It has been a long 19 month journey of growing my hair but a positive experience. I love my hair and i'm never getting it cut if I can help it. Well maybe for a trim once I get it to about where I want it.
Get this I even got my 11 year old nephew wanting to grow his hair out. I guess he likes the looks of my long hair so he wants to try it out for himself. His is going to look much different than mine though. His hair is virtually straight. He looks like a little beatnick like skater with his shaggy hair. But it's a cool look for him. I hope he continues on growing it out. If his parents will let him. But i'll somehow persuade them to let him. I'll try to get pics of my hair as well as his and find someone with a scanner so I can get some of pics on here.

Mark, I get that comment a lot. It is probably because I like my hair to hang down in front, and because I often wear a bandanna around my head. (Wearing a bandanna around your head is a natural if you have your hair hanging down in front, otherwise it is forever in your eyes.)
Once in a while someone will call out, "Hey Willie!" I just smile and wave at 'em. They are always smiling when they do that, so I see no reason to take offense.
One Halloween at least two dozen people on the street over the course of the evening thought I had gone down there as Willie Nelson. In reality, I had not gone in costume, and I looked just like I always do. [grin]

Hello Bill, I didn't take it offensively. I was just surprised he said that my hair looked like his. I think that Willie's hair looks awesome. If I can get my hair as long as his or longer i'm thinking of braiding it like his everyonce in awhile. Your hair looks pretty neat as well. I just hope my hair looks something like yours. As I too have alot of wave in my hair.
Consider it a compliment. Willie Nelson has great looking
