Ive seem to notice that there are more and more "important people" with long hair these days. By important people i mean like Politicians, Lawyers, buiesness men, people that are high on the chain of respect. I hope my observation is correct, and maybe in the next 10 years, when i have a steady job, long hair wont be refused as much, and maybe even have a boss with long hair.
Does anyone else notice an incline in the long hair community?
With any kind of luck, longhaired men will become a trend, and maybe be more accepted. We won't be a minority anymore. I am noticing more of us. And it is good.
Ivix
I've been noticing more and more also.
Two or three of the mathematics profs here are longhairs.

Just went to lunch and saw a fellow employee who had dark hair past his shoulders and the last 2 inches were dyed bright red. Never would have thought I'd see that working for a defense contractor. Good for him.
Who's to say who is more important? Aren't we really all the same no matter what our jobs are. Just think of it.................. Sometimes a Plumber is "far more important" to us, (like urgent) than some of these Politions with their "Faux Promises" these days.
And yes..........I notice more and more Longer Haired Men as the months roll on. Guess the Pendelum will always swing back and forth as styles change as it always has.
In short..........Be yourself. Inner happiness is the most important of all.
Very much agreed. I wonder if this trend (if at all) will last longer, due to the years it takes to grow out longer hair, versus cutting it short. Still a very cool occurrence though.
I guess the number of longhairs ebbs and flows but I'm glad to see that it's an evergreen hairstyle which has lasted since long hair became fashionable in the 1960s.
Of course it'll probbaly always remain a minority hairstyle but it certainly has gradually gained mainstream acceptance and respectability since its rebel, anti-establishment image in the 60s.
On the other hand, that may not be such a good thing either.
Im hoping long hair is and will become more excepted, because i absolutly am not goin to cut my hair for a job, and ,with being 14 and all, and i can get a normal job when im 15,not just mowing lawns and what not.But being 15 there isnt many oppourtune jobs around, and for minumum wage at that, and my mum is worried that no one will hire me because of my hair.
