Last night I used this nutragena T gel for dandruff (even thought I dont have dandruff). I used it because it was all I could find. After I washed it out I noticed a lot of my hair, more than usual seemed to come out. It was enough to clog up the drain. This morning now that its dry when I brushed it, it seems to be comming out a lot. Like if i run my hand through the hair maybe 3-4 pieces will come out. Is this normal?!!?
Take a look at this site:
Wow, I'm definitely staying away from those shampoos. Thanks man.
Wow I just shampooed with something that causes cancer... Damnit, well I'll know for next time. Thanks.
OH MY GOD, IVE BEEN USING PANTENE AND REDKEN FOR MONTHS.... JEEZ!!! Can someone please tell me a safe shampoo?
Use Dove Shmpoo, it makes your hair very soft and I believe it is safe to use as I have been using it for a long time and have never experienced and hair loss.
Neutrogena T- Shampoos are all very tough on your hair and scalp. Although they are recomended widely by both physicians and pharmacists, I have found that they deal with the dandruff AND make my hair fall out.
Side Note: Good information provided in the link in Michael Odle's message. It is worth checking out. Never seen that site before, but will be referring to it again and again. Thanks Michael!
The link I just showed to you was originally posted by the_super in his message "read those shampoo labels....." on September 13th. Thank him, not me.
Did you use conditioner afterwards? I have to use it sometimes - it's a good de-gunking shampoo if you can't get any others. I know it makes your hair really sticky when you use it - I just rinse it out wihtout running my hands through it (could this be what's pulling the hair out for you?) then put conditioner straight in the loosen the hair up again and soften it. Then I brush gently with a wide-tooth brush.

Did you scrub your scalp too hard? Try Wolfeyes's tip: wash, but don't run your hands through it, that should stop too many hairs falling out.
