Hi Guys!
Just thought I might ask your opinion on whether you think having a ponytail with the hair brushed straight back over the top of the head or having it with a parting is better. I normally have mine combed straight over the top without a paring but I have found the last week or so that having a central parting seems to hide some of the little flyaways that tend to pop out round the front hairline.
Cheers!

P.S. when down I actually prefer the parting to be off-set to the side.
Most of the 4 years that I have had (or been growin) long hair, I have brushed back over the top of my head, but of late, having it down and not tied back more, I have begun to let it naturally part, or, intentionally part it off center. It just gives my face a different look, and it's easier to pull hair behind my ears if there is some part.
If it's all straight back, there's no real keeping it out of my face. So, the short answer (too late now) is that I do all three. Kinda depends on the mood!

Hey Robert!
Looks like you're on-line the same time as me. Yeah, I agree with your comments that if there's a parting it is easier to tuck it behind the ears. Those pics you posted a while back were really cool by the way, are you thinking of posting any more?
Cheers!

I had not really planned any more, but my daughter has the camera out often these days. Maybe I'll get her to snap a shot or two.

Hey, Rainmaker.
I always wear my ponytail with a parting in the middle. For me, this is normal, but I don't think as many guys do it. I've never prefered the straight back ponytail, it reminds me too much of a "Slick back" look.
Whatever works for you though is cool.
I can't part my hair in the center... long story. So therefore, I try to avoid parting it at all. I brush the hair straight back as best I can before tying it in a tail. This is more aesthetics and necessity than comfort.
Right now I have to do the slicked back ponytail since my bangs are not long enough to do the parted sort of ponytail look. But I will wear it in both styles once my hair grows out a bit more. I like both ways of wearing ponytails.

I usually prefer the "combed over the top" look, but seeing as how I don't brush my hair. . . .I usually just run my fingers through a couple of times, that usually gets rid of the part line.
Though I'm not real picky about it either way.
