Hi
Well some people told me that some of my hair are broken .They told me I should get a little trim and it would help my hair . Is it true that getting a trim would help my hair ? They also told me that getting a trim would make my hair go thicker (they seems to be a thinner then before...)
I just want to know if this is true and would it really help my hair . Thx a lot
Not unless you've been growing your hair for more than two years. Only then, does trimming due to broken or split ends make much sense. Until then, your hair will not be long enough to stay as neat if you trim on it. If you truly have damage before the two year anniversary, it is due to washing too much, washing with a too harsh product, or combing too many times or too violently. What you need to do is change how you care for your hair to tread more lightly on it. Be gentle. It's fragile. It's only hair. When the damage grows further down away from your head, with the healthy hair above it, you can trim the damage off. However, it will soon break off on its own anyway, and you'll be left with healthy hair.
100% false. Trimming NEVER makes hair grow thicker. It's not grass, man. You don't need to get sunlight on your scalp to sprout new hairs.
Now, if you want to trim to make your hair look better, that IS a valid reason. You know, if you really HAVE to have the damage off. However, this will slow down your progress toward having long hair. With "neatening trims" you will have "slightly less messy hair" for a "much longer time". When you add up the anguish from that, it will in the eyes of many of us, be more anguish than you'd get from just toughing it out and growing straight out to long hair with no trims at all.
Good luck with your growth!
