I'm Dr. Joe, a medical doctor growing his hair.
I'm very glad about my choice.
And now a new doctor working in my Hospital has a waist lenght ponytail, so I'm not more THE long haired doctor but A long haired doctor.

I'm a budding anaesthetist (3rd year registrar; 2 years to go) in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Growing out since 16 months and a bit short of touching the shoulder.
So far I am the only Longhair doc but there are quite a few other hospital staff with long hair.
Up to now I had no problems at work with my appearance.

I'm not a doc myself, but I did work in a very large clinic as an engineering intern for some time. There were several long-haired male doctors at the clinic, one of whom was an anesthesiologist with a hip-length ponytail, and another (a black MD) had dredlocks.
