personally, i think this looks great! although i must say, you have great hair either way...but this particular photo would indicate you've got great hair.

This was the first time I had straightened my hair(a little less than a year ago), the photo shows the comparison of the two styles.
Are you ever lucky! Seems just about like whatever you do with your hair works. An "all-win" situation.

I really like the straight hair look! It looks totally cool and laid back. I've tried straightening my hair a total of 3 times since growing it out so far, last time I did it was almost 3 months ago, but it looked horrible, and curled whithin a matter of minutes after using it. I used my sisters starightener though, and it's basically crap, so I'll need to get one in the near future, hopefully a GHD (Chi)v iron for Christmas:D
...great, TBG. I think your hair looks great both straight and curly. Can't wait to see it even longer.
TBG, thanks for sharing the pics. I do like the straighted hair, but I have to say I like the curly better - MHO. This is a new viewpoint for me, since, being curly myself, I typically suffer from severe STE (Straight Hair Envy). Truthfully, I've actually begun to appreciate my hair for what it is since lurking and posting on this board.
I think it might be fun to have mine straightened, but it needs to grow much longer before I do that. (For future reference, what process did you use to have yours straightened?)

I did a severe detanglin in the shower, then gently brushed my hair while blow drying it on cool setting. Then a girl from Collin's hall put some spray starch in my hair (she said it was to protect the hair. She had curly hair, and it was really awesome, so I figured I could trust her). Then a couple of friend's took 30 minute turns using a "chi" iron to straighten my hair, one lock at a time. An hour and a half later, and there are the photos!

Thanks. I thought maybe you'd invested in one of those long-term straightening procedures. A friend of mine had it done and it's amazing. Her hair is straight as a board now, though it was really curly before. Problem is - it's really expensive.
Interesting pics. I think it looks better darker and definitely looks better in its natural state of being curly. You have very unique and distinct facial features, and I think you look much better with your hair curly.
But that's just me.
