Is collagen similar to cones?
My prefered shampoo says "with collagen" on the bottle.
I was just wondering if it perhaps wasn't so good.
No, collagen is a protein chemical substance...the "glue" that holds tissues together.
Silicone is an artificial material made from silicon and oxygen.
Very slick on hair. It rinses out with water. A good
clarifying shampoo will take care of any residue.
Silicone can work 'miracles' for some people...and I
am one of them.

What brand do you use? I'm fairly interested, since my hair type is similar to yours.
Matas. I doubt you can get it outside of Denmark though.
Matas is a chain of stores that sell all kinds of health and beauty products, and also manufacture their own lines of products, like shampoo/conditioner, skin lotion, etc.
I have to admit that I'm not very experimenting when it comes to hairproducts.
When I decided to regrow my hair last year, I found these and have stuck with them.
