When mine was at the lenght yours is at it did the same "flip-act." A few more inches and the flip quiets down by quite a bit.

I don't wear this one out of the house, but with this 'do' I don't need to wear a shower cap on the days I don't wash my hair!! Ahhh, the lengths we'll go, eh?? :)

...Daita. Thanks so much for the kind words. I've been growing since July 15, 2002...so a little over 2 years now. I started from a buzz cut. I did get trims on the back a few times, just so it could even out. As of now, though, I think my last trim was about a year ago! Maybe more.
I was thinking about maybe posting a pic while using an elastic headband. As guys, I'd say that most of us don't feel comfortable wearing "feminine" products out of the house (me included), but some of those products and "do's" really help to manage the hair while at home! That's why I posted that bun pic. Maybe I'll post some more styles in a few days.
btw.. how doy ou take care of your hair? any special products you use or something?
...I actually went "back to my roots". A little while back, the board was really behind the Aussie line. I tried it and enjoyed it the most. Then, when I saw some of the board members mentioning L'Oreal and the Fructis lines, I tried those. Just a few days ago, however, I switched back to the Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner because those other products just didn't do it for me. However, it seems like hair products are a personal choice of what works best for you. For me, it's the Aussie Moist line.
As far as routine, I always condition after I shampoo. If I don't go to the gym, I probably won't wash my hair (for up to 1 day without washing). Typically, though, I work out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so I'll wash Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and have a "day off" on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If I work out more, I wash my hair more (I always wash my hair if I work out or sweat, say from mowing the lawn or something).

Thanks for the compliments, UK. As far as the job hunt, that's going a bit tough...which is why I haven't posted too much lately (because I'm trying to find a job). One barrier is that results from the Bar don't come out until November 19, so I can't technically practice law yet. I'm trying, though... :)
