hi
i am 49 m from india. i have a male kid of 9 years old. i never wanted him to cut his hair and i have seen to its maintainace. now he has a thick black hair just below his waist. do any body have m kids with long hair.
No I do not have a kid with long hair. I have a 16 year old daughter with shoulder length hair as my hair is almost to the small of my back. I do wish when I was a little kid I could have have had hair to my waist or longer as well. I am 54 years old and have beautiful hair today. It has been growing for six plus years from extremely short. I had to wait till I was 48 to even consider growing my hair. If your kid wants long hair to his knees please by all means encourage him and help him with the maintance of it. What does your wife think of his hair? Or his mother think of his hair? Does she support and encourage your son with his hair. My daughter thinks my hair is "cool" as all her friends think I am Native American with one exception I have an Italian last name lol. I tell them I am from the sicilian tribe lol.
Sincerely,
Joseph
No I don't have kids at all but my friend has been pestering me to get married and have a kid.
Then if I have a son, I'll encourage him to let his hair grow and I'll help him care for it. Only problem is he may one day want to cut it and be different from his father.
BTW. Baskar,
What types of traditional hair care products do you use in India and what are their benefits or perceived benefits over modern products.
Regards
Charles

Whoa, time to gain a little control of your anger there Fido. It may be time 4 you to put things into perspective.
Who cares if this person is lying about whatever. There are a lot of people with hair down to their waist when they are on this board, but have average length when they are in the real world.
Hair length turns into a real pissing contest when nobody can see anybody else, get over it, and accept that people lie.
I think we have determined that people of all walks of life are welcome here, including compulsive liars.
I'm sorry I missed the king's funeral, but congratulations on your new position.

Actually, I have never seen more healthy hair than a childs hair, the rate at which it grows is unreal...I do not see anything unbelievable about it.
Thank you, Kelly, for probably scaring away a very nice man. What the heck are you so livid about? If you would refrain from the insults long enough to know something of India, you may have guessed that this man may be part of the Sikh religion where the males are not allowed to cut their hair and where you find a number of young males with waist-length hair.
I don't know where you live where you do not believe young boys can have long hair. I have seen a number of young boys with very long hair from time to time unless I'm hallucinating and even had a friend whose young son had locks down to his waist.
No, I haven't seen a baby pigeon before, but I know they exist along with fairies, elves and other elementals.
Peace be with you,
Chaeya
I just can't believe such a answer to just such a simple message...
What is the problem here?
Did someone walk over your feet? because it is looking to be very hurtfull...
Peace
Jean
My son had waist length hair when he was 6 years old. Beautiful blonde hair.... he begged me to cut it. Other kids made fun of him and everyone who didn't know him called him a girl. I gave in and cut it. He is 13 now and still keeps it short. I'm not crazy about it but he is the one who has to live with it. Kids have enough problems in life without having to worry about hair! If your son has long hair and keeps it clean and brushed, then forget about it and worry about more important things.
There are many male children of around the same age who have
uncut long hair at my local Sikh Gurdwara (temple). They wear
their long hair in a Jura (bunched topknot), and their heads
are covered by a Patka (cloth covering the Jura and the rest
of the head and hair). When male children reach the age of
adolescence, they start to tie a turban to cover their hair.
Having uncut hair and wearing a turban over it is a requirement
for all fully-observant male Sikhs.
