I have brown fairly straight hair that's ALL a few inches past my shoulders (I really don't like undershaves ::shivers::). I love the way the Crow has his hair in the original movie... it's, like... perpentually wet or greasy without actually being greasy. I like the wet, seperated look. Short of putting gel or other 'hardening' agents into hair, how can you accomplish this? Also, I saw in a recent magazine, a picture of some girls from Sweden who had kind of seperated, perhapse centimeter strands of hair comming down. Since it wasn't braided or twisted, I figured perhaps it was a wax of some sort? If anyone has any input concerning this matter, feel free to post a reply or email me at lordsteven@yahoo.com
Hi Elflord!
My hair (just shoulderlength) is quite curly, but maybe this technique works for straight hair as well:
After shampooing / conditioning I toweldry it, detangle carefully and then give it a good shake (like a dog getting rid of rain in its coat)
If I don't comb it then when it is dry I end up with separated curls.
The next day I only shower it with fairly hot water to distribute the builtup scalp oil evenly (if I use cool water my hair would look greasy after that). Then again toweldrying an detangeling => here are the curls separated again!
My hair at the current length is quite oily so I have to shampoo every other or third day.
Good luck!
Cool, I'll have to try that. I'm not quite sure the effect it will have, but anything's worth a try. My gratitude, and thanks to thee. ~Bless the Longhairs~

What is an undershave that you mention in first sentence? Also who is the Crow?
He's probably referring to the style where the top hair is grown long, but then shaven underneath. And the Crow was Brandon Lee's character in the movie of the same name.
MJ
MJ was correct in both answers, but is there any insight as to how I could get my hair like that?
Sincerely,
