i have been growing my hair for about 2 years now and its about half an inch down from my shoulders. I like it like this and will not cut it but sometimes i think i look slightly feminine, without sounding paranoid. is there any thing i can try to stop this.
I understand what you mean. It can be tough for guys who aren't as tall or broad not to look 'fem'.
Your best option, I think, would to grow some sort of facial hair. This should be the end-all to anyone's doubts.
You never know, I knew a girl that could grow thicker facial hair than I can to this day.

Because my son is really handsome or as he says "prettyful" lol he sometimes has that problem... but he has a deep voice as as long as he stands up straight it is pretty rare that it happens to him now.

Dude, you have no idea how many of us guys go through this. Worst is being called "ma'am" by a store clerk who gets a sideway's glance--something like that.
I have sideburns (which I just shaved back a little today) that are near earlobe length. (I shaved them up to half the ear length for the hell of it, but I think I'll regrow them pretty much back to where they were). I'm contemplating a goatee or a moustache and goatee too. Buds with these facial additions aren't as plagued with the feminine comments that us clean shaven guys are.
It just goes with the turf, I've decided. Sleeveless T-shirts might help as well; however, here in Denver, the weather's turning chilly now and I don't like bare shoulders in this seasonal change.
Good luck with the hair. It sounds so hot. Josh

1. beard
2. work out with emphasis on upper body.
3. wear shirt loose when possible.
4. wear work boots or some kind of heavy shoes.
The last two will probably be questioned by some, but I think they ring true. Tucking a shirt in all nice and neat and wearing light shoes even makes some overweight guys with short hair and a flabby chest look femme. Think "Pat" from Saturday Night Live, if you've ever seen that.
