The other night my girlfriend did a small french braid thing in my hair, just at my ear-line. It wasn't very long, but I think I'm going to have to try it out when my hair gets a bit longer, cos I think it would be really cool.
It reminded me of Mad Mardigan from the film 'Willow' - the way he had a braid at his temple. Anyway, this braid was french-braided against my scalp from below my temple to above my ear, then started to run down behind my ear. If my hair was longer, it would then have dangled down.
I've included a small (and somewhat lame) drawing to show what I mean. I'd love it if someone could try this out so I can see what it looks like, or if someone has already done it, if they could post a pic.
Suggestions also welcome (as always).

Hi. I usually do these little braids to my brother's hair, mainly when he has/wants to look "elegant". Sometimes we knot left and right braids at the back of his head. He has wavy brown hair, and it looks great.
The next time that I do it I'll take some pics of him to show you the effect.

I've started wearing a braid similar to this (though not french braided, just braiding the lock that hangs down behind the ear). There's one where Hubert and Squishy once hung *sniff*
I don't have access to a camera currently, so I can't help you out there.
