Hey guys, thanks last month for all the encouraging words.
Mi cabello is growing yet. After my "trim" on August 5th, I was really in a bad mood and depressed for about two weeks, but those few inches will be back in no time at all.
I've decided to take a different approach to the whole hair growing out process. It is interesting the way in which different people react to hair growth.
Best friend: Were watching a movie and there's a guy with hair to mid-back. In jest he says "Why don't you grow your hair like that?" I say, "I'm trying as hard as I can." I think he has realized his entreaties to get me to a barber are in vain. I've even convinced him to grow a beard. (He is copying me.)
Father: He asked me why I got it cut!!! He liked it all mullet looking and all.
Mother: says, "I'm gonna give you a haircut." I say, "I don't think that would be a good idea."
Older sister: Her son grew his hair for a year then shaved it all off. She said all the girls at school were upset.
Younger sister: says, "You look like your on drugs." HA- never have and never will.
Co-worker(lady): I think it was really tacky of Jim to make you cut your hair.
*Boss* (Jim): My new plan is to keep everything looking neat with the help of that "melting gel" that I can't remember who on this board swears by, and it is some good stuff. I also am proving to be a good and valuable employee who is to be judged by my outstanding work and not hair length, although that is so wrong in so many ways I won't reiterate the obvious to all reading.
I got a new camera phone so when I figure out how to download pictures, I'll try to post something to put a face with a name!
