Hi All,
I was surfing around tonight and found these wonderful instructions on how to to the Legolas braid from Lord of the Rings. If you are fortunate enough to have hair this length I'm sure it will look wonderful.

Funny you should mention that, my hair gaol has always been to get hair long enough for that braid!

Cool. Thanks Dan. Now instead of just calling me Legolas (supposely because I looked like him) my g/f can make my hair look like his..........while I sit there and have a beer. Ha! :)

And your hair is longer than mine so YOU, my friend, are lucky, too! :-) Yes, my g/f is a big Tolkien fan. She used to say I looked like Legolas in her mind. I'm just a little heavier since then, though I am getting back into shape. I would definitely try that Legolas braid when my hair gets long enough. As soon as I saw it in The Fellowship of The Ring I thought it looked cool.

The hair doesn't need to be all that long to braid that way, actually. Since you're continually picking up new strands to add in, the whole head of hair doesn't need to be that long. Two inches or so would be enough (though trickier to braid) if you really, really want to try it now. :)
