Well , I've been " Lurking " for some time now (1 month) so I thought I'd say... waaaaazaaap . With so much negativity towards men with long hair it is so very happy to see , how would you say ... a pat on the back, for those of us who simply choose to ... let it grow . My hair is currently at 12 months of growth . My goal length is to my mid-back or belt line . About where it was when I was married (will post photo later) . Yes, I cut it all off before. NEVER ...NEVER Let anyone talk you into cuttin yer mane .

Hey I like your hair it looks like mine, brown and wavy. Maybe mine will look like this at 12 months? Anyway welcome to the board and I agree that you should never listen to others about your hair, just do what you want, you only live once.

Welcome Steve and WAAAAAAZAAAP!!! You're very right about the negativity that's out there, it's like some people think we're creating the ultimate sin or something. Fortunately those people aren't going to be the ones to approach you. You'll only be showered with compliments by those who can truly appreciate the person you are.
I think we've all had to make that death march to the barber because someone else wanted us to. It's harder on kids today because they're living under someone else's roof and all. Congratulations on your decision and good luck with your goal! Bruin
