I've been letting my hair grow for about 2 and a half years now. It all started in my senior year in high school. many times in the past I'd try letting my hair grow but then in the middle of it I'd chicken out and cut it all off. My hair would get all curly and stick out from the sides giving me a really goofy look.
But now I've finally got the courage to take it all the way.
During the first year of growth I've had some negative comments from my parents. I'm living in portugal and long hair is seen here as a bad thing so my parents were constantly bothering me about my hair. Then 2 years ago I went to college and I didn't have to listen to my parents dumb comments anymore.
The tough part was getting through the bad hair phase. At first I wore a hat to solve the problem but then as my hair grew it would stick out from under the hat giving me a goofy look once again. I thought about using hairspray or gel but then decided to just wear a beany. That way I wouldn't have to constantly go through the work of putting on the gel or hairspray. I just put on the beany and that's it.
After about a year of growing I stopped wearing the beany and wore my hair combed down. To many people at my college it was their first time seeing my hair. I got some positive comments from the girls which I like ofcourse.
Now my hair is past shoulder length and it's still growing.
It's big enough for it's own weight to prevent it from curling up that much so it looks pretty good.
well, that was my hair growing experience. Happy hair growing guys!
Have you used one of those hair loss shampoos? I wonder if they really work? I came across this site and there was a review. I've never used them though.
