Is anyone familiar with this hair straightening system?
My hair is just past my mouth now, and Ive been getting alot of flips since my hair is wavy. My Mother suggested inquiring about some kind of straightening system that lasts about 6 months, so I looked it up online and found this:

Whatever you do, avoid the CHI system. I'm linking to a thread on another board where people who have had this treatment ($$$) commiserate with each other about their breakage and hair loss.
I would be very interested to hear how this works out for you if you do indeed go through with it. If it's as good as it sounds, it would definatly be worth the price.
I had it done.. wasted over a year of growing. Destroyed my hair, had to shave it off and start again.
Just
DONT DO IT
i have heard that loads of people have done this and it is really bad for your hair talk to blond he knows about it but i would sugest using straightners they are better !!!
Actually, what blonde used was a chemical straightener that he purchased in a store. It was intended to be used at home. Thermal reconditioning can straighten hair permanently and safely, if the process is done by a skilled technician. From what I've read, it costs $600 and up, and if it's done wrong, not only are you out all that money, but your hair is ruined.
The hair you treat is permanently straightened. You can't change your mind and decide to go curly again without cutting it all off, so don't do this on a whim.
Shop for this process like you would for a plastic surgeon - only use a stylist who has lots of satisfied customers who you have spoken with.
