  A month after I said I'd post progress pics, here they are.

  It's been 23 months since I started growing from about 1 inch. My bangs are to the bottom of my chin, and the back is right at shoulder-length (although it's past my shoulders when flat-ironed). All of my hair is finally long enough that it'll stay tucked behind my ears when curly, so I'm comfortable wearing it in its natural state (curly) more often. The bangs still won't fit into a pony tail, but hopefully they'll be there in about 6 more months.

  I have had about four maintenance trims since I started growing. Granted, my hair would be about 2 inches longer had I not done this, but curly hair can look mullet-esque if the proportions are off. Thankfully it's past that stage (I hope).

  For the record, the products I use are Jason Naturals Damage Control Shampoo and Creme Conditioner, then a bit of jojoba oil while it's still wet and let it air dry. When I go curly, this routine minimizes frizz and keeps my hair soft and shiny. And on the days I flat-iron, it's very smooth and frizz-free.

  Goal length: all one length at least mid-shoulderblades when curly. I figure I'm still at least 18 months from this.
