Picture Purged
Have been around the web searching for hair sites but I'd never seen this one. Nice place. Greetings to one and all.
Clancy
Great hair ! :o)
Clancy
I just discovered that clicking on your thumbnail photo wisks you away to your personal web site. It looks like a place to stay for a long visit. I shall do so when I have the time.
Well, if that don't beat all. I just discovered that clicking on ANYONE's thumbnail takes you to another web page. I catch on quick.
Yes and if you click on the name you will be able to send mail to that person as well.
But you already know that now :o)
Thee Longhaired Gal
Greetings Clancy
Your hair is absolutely fabulous! Glad you found this site.
Justin
Justin, you've got some nice locks yourself. I like the sheen and the wave. Thanks for your comments.
Welcome, Clancy! The hair looks fabulous. How long have you been growing it?
Thank you Sid. I honestly don't remember exactly when I stopped getting haircuts. I estimate that it's been around 7-8 years. I looked for a photo of you but could not find one.
I have never posted a photo of myself, actually. I used to not like the thought of having pics of me out over the internet, but that doesn't bother me anymore. My problem now is finding a way to take a picture and getting it online! I don't have a digital camera. Gotta think of another way...
Take any photos on regular film and when you develope them, ask for regular prints and a photo CD.
Either that or if you know someone with a scanner, that'll work too.
Bruin
Yes, good thinking. I have done that frequently but it slipped my feeble mind.
Hi Clancy, welcome. Your waist length hair looks great. Best wishes, and keep it long. Absalom
Fantastic hair, Absalom. You picked a great handle. You don't ride horses under low hanging branches, do you? Thanks for the comments.
Rest assured I will not allow myself to get my head caught in a tree branch. I do have to be very careful not to sit on it, however. At your current length sitting on it is not a problem, yet. Once your hair reaches classic length or longer, sitting on it does become a problem. Absalom
HA! Good one. The follow up to that story was not a very happy ending but I've always liked the name Absalom.

I'm not sure my terminal length will ever reach yours. In high school, we had a real B*tthole for a gym teacher. He once asked my brother as he passed him in the hall "How long are you going to let your hair grow? Till you can wipe your ass with it?" My brother and I were always getting sent home for violating the hair length dress code. Well, I can ALMOST wipe my ....... Naaa, better not go that far.

I'm not sure my terminal length will ever reach yours. In high school, we had a real jerk for a gym teacher. He once asked my brother as he passed him in the hall "How long are you going to let your hair grow? Till you can wipe your "posterior" with it?" My brother and I were always getting sent home for violating the hair length dress code. Well, I can ALMOST wipe my ....... Naaa, better not go that far.
HA! The preceding message was a cleaned up version of the one below. I hope I do not offend anyone with my crude language but the words from the gym teacher are verbatim. I cleaned up the message just as the moderators decide to allow my original post.
Clancy,
Welcome to the Board...You've got great hair...really looks fantastic! I hope mine eventually gets to that length.
Keep it growin' and I'm gllad you found us!
Brett
Hey GeorgiaBoy (aka Brett). Thanks for the welcome and the compliment. Your hair ain't nothing to sneeze at. Are you planning to let it grow longer? I used to live in Georgia in the mid 1970's. Warm Springs, Chalebeate Springs, Pine Mountain, Manchester - all just down the road from Columbus and a short trip north to Atlanta. Great place to live. I have very fond memories and old friends that I miss to this day. East Texas has a dialect all it's own but Georgia taught me a few new ones. Ties = Tires. Fie Tyer = Fire Tower. Bud = Bird as in "Bud huntin'". Dozier = Dozer as in "Bull Dozier". Talladigga = Talladega as in "Talladigga 500". Pine Mountain was awesome. Glad to have found this forum.
Welcome Clancy! Very nice hair. Glad to have you here. Thanks for sharing the picture with us.
Robert
Hi Robert, thanks for the compliment and the welcome. May I also say that you have an excellent head of hair. Aren't you the teacher of dead languages (Latin)? I admire anyone that can speak Latin. It might be dead but just to hear anyone speak it or translate it is awe inspiring.
Ad astra per aspera. Ars longa, vita brevis. HA! I know a few sayings. VERY few.
First Bruin, now you!
The guys with better hair than me need to stay away!
How am I supposed to think I'm a studly guy when guys who look better keep showing up?
Hahahahahaha! Just kidding of course.
Welcome to the board. You make a fine addition to our growing (pun intended) community on this board. Contact Victor, become a registered user.
I look forward to seeing more pics as time goes by.
Welcome!
I just have to say man, "I love reading your posts!" You always come up with something funny to say.
Bruin
That's just your way of saying, "Hey Rokker, I have better hair than you do. But look at the bright side, you have interseting posts!"
;-)
Hahahahaha!
It's always nice to see new additions to this board. You've been here what...a week at best? And you're already like an old-timer. You're a definite welcome addition!
And your posts have all been very good.
Hey Rokker. I like a guy that can poke fun at himself. I should know. I'm good at it not to mention putting up with all of the friendly insults I get from my "pals". I'd say you have nothing to complain about. I don't know about that "looking better" part. I picked a photo that I thought was the best and left the "other" ones out. Your hair looks great. Are you planning to let it continue to grow? Everyone's mighty friendly around here. Haven't heard one discouraging word and I'll bet the skies are not cloudy all day.
I've been letting it grow for more years than I can count! I had been maintaining it at about mid-back, which is actually my preferred length. I did have it at about waist until July 1 of this year when a tragic mistake on my part (trimming ratty ends when hair was braided) forced me to lose SEVEN INCHES of hair.
But oh well, it's back to mid-back now and on the way to about waist.
Unfortunately, there aren't many good pics of me. I don't photograph well at all. Then again, I guess the camera doesn't lie either, does it?
The skies may on occasion get a bit hazy, and the home on the range sometimes gets a discouraging word, but 99.9% of the time we are a happy bunch around here!
From looking at your photos, I'd say your handle fits perfectly. I presume you play the drums. I envy those who can make music and do it well. I'm sorry to hear about your accident and losing SEVEN inches! Holy Guacamole Batman. But, you can't keep a good man down. I don't see anything wrong with your photos. Just a little dark. Get your girlfriend to take some shots outdoors on a sunny day, like Absalom's.
What's all the 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-ing' about...
It looks like I'm jumping in kinda late but I'd also like to say welcome to the board. Your hair looks alot like mine when it was that long. I'll bet it looks straighter on the surface but gets thicker and wavier underneath, right? It looks like you also get blondish highlighted streaks from being in the sun. Anyway, it's good to have you here my friend!
Bruin
Pleasure meeting you, Bruin. My hair does have a slight wave if I let it dry without ponying. I have slight auburn highlights that I inherited from my Dad, who was a red-headed boy. I did have a freak streak of blonde running down one side that seems to have almost dissapeared, but I didn't think it would stay forever. My hair is very fine and tangles and breaks easily if I am not careful. My locks are probably thinning a bit due to age, but I don't let that worry me. I don't have any spots that are sparse so I am thankful for what I've got. From your photo, I'd say you have plenty to spare and it looks well kept. Looking forward to having fun and meeting new people.
This is the best website for long haired men.
Ed
Well, I thought I had seen them all. I even joined Longhairlovers.com but it was 95% women and 5% guys. I couldn't relate to most of the posts. I accidentally came across a article called "The significance of male hair" by Raj Singh. From there, I found link after link and wound up here. Finally, a place for guys to hang out, all with something in common. There's so many personal web pages, including yours, that I want to vist. I'll hit 'em one at a time.By the way, you've got a nice mane, Ed.
Hi Clancy
Great to have you on the board. Your hair is really cool - how long has it taken you to grow it that much - about three years? It's great hair anyway and we look forward to seeing more of you in the future - welcome to our community!
RM
Hi Rainmaker. Thanks for the welcome. I stopped cutting my hair around 7 years ago but it did take about 3 years for it to reach 36 inches (from forehead to end). I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi Clancy,
Good to have you aboard and great looking hair. Certainly a nice bunch of supportive people here.
John.B
Hi John. Sorry about the John B. Goode. I couldn't resist. Thanks for your compliment. Everyone has gone out of their way to make me feel right at home. Thanks again, to everyone.
never seen this one. Nice place. Greetings to one and all. ~Clancy
Isn't it strange how you went searching around the whole web
and only found this place by accident!
A few twists and turns this way and that...
and suddenly you appear here in the Land of Oz.
Now, my story is the complete opposite of yours: I merely
typed in "long haired men' in a search engine, and
it landed me right here...
...and here I've been for 2 years & 4 months.
Anyway, WELCOME. You have very nice hair...
and here I'll hope you stay for many
a day.
Yes, Luckskind, you speak straight. A couple of years ago I thought I'd found every site on the internet pertaining to long hair. All of them, however, were primarily for women. I got tired of reading the conversations, most to which I could not relate. I became a dues paying member of Longhairlovers.com and let my membership expire after it was taken over by different management. It was exciting at first but sometimes you just need to BS with a bunch of guys with something in common. You couldn't get that there. I was "like totally" blown away with this forum. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and, with few exceptions, it's all guy-speak. Please ladies, take no offense with my words as none is intended. Thanks for your welcome and kind comment. Everyone has made me feel at home, including Thee Longhaired Gal!
...but this site is also one of the FASTEST moving Boards around!
to keep that trend going by answering every post addressed to me with an inane comment! :)
Nice hair, bro. Welcome to the fold. Stay around and join in the discussions. We've got some great people here.

Hey, Thanks *SPLAT* ! Glad to be here!
