I would like to apologise for the comment I made to Thee Longhaired Gal. I promise you this was not a serious comment at all, and wasn't meant to be taken offensively. I should know that it's hard to know over the internet. You're all great people and I'd be devastated if you all hated me.
Please forgive me!
Well, to be honest man, you should have thought about what you write and how it can be interpreted.
Reading it just plain as the message sounded to me like a lurker post. You didn't even put a smiley next to the word, it just appeared offensive.
But I'm sure TLG may forgive you if you sincerely mean it.
I don't want to hate you, you're from the same country as I am, hardly anyone here posts from Wales.
Just be careful next time.
There was an emoticon at the end of the post. Still, very sorry all!
Stu,
I for one appreciate the apology. You are right. It is difficult over emails and internet space to know the tone and intent of what we say. I have had my share of such emails and I've written them, too. This is a great community. It's better to err on the side of being too careful than careless. Thanks for taking the time to correct this.
Robert
I for one knew you were joking but could see how it might of offended Thee Longhaired Gal so I wanted to say something to make her feel better in case she took it the wrong way. I've done the same thing or similar and agree with Robert, without enunciation it can be difficult to know how it's being said. You did have the unhappy face on there :-) From TLG's response I'd say she wasn't hurt by it and responded wonderfully. Alot of us here know not to take *words* too seriously and the only people I hate are the ones chasing me with scissors :-) Try not to beat yourself up over it, just learn from it.

Hi Stu Hughes,
Hey, don't worry about it! I'm not mad at you or anything, it was kinda just hard to tell by what you meant, but hey it's not a serious thing! I still think you've got some really nice hair!
And the guys here on the board are great! Good advice and always willing to help out where possible.
So, apology accepted (with a smile) :o)
Thee Longhaired Gal
Those words were quite Caustic for sure and simply out of place even if considered a joke. The Longhaired Girl has responded with such grace. Had you put a :-) or lol at the end of this statement it most likely would have gone over as more "light hearted." One thing however..........using the word "Bitch" was not the best of choices. Hardly! Glad you won't be posting things such as this in the future.
In that case I retract my statements, but I agree with what SurferDude has already said, that your response was inapproproate, especially the use of the word 'bitch' to someone you don't know personally.
Well I do know Bitch is a very offensive word. A female may shrug it off if you call her a bitch. Calling a guy a bitch may prompt a fight.
Let this be a lesson to you to watch what you say online and in Reallife.
What if she had gotten offended and never posted here again?
