how do u guys get ur hair to go flat ion the awkward stage (about 10 months 4 me now)
sometimes after itrs been washed i can dry it partially and stick a hat on, which has the desired effect. However, if it wasn't fry enough to start wiv or i have to take the hat off after only a shot while (less than an hour) it ends up really "pumfy" and fluffy
help!
PS: my bangs seem really damaged but i dunno if they actuially are. they dry realy quickly (withing a couple of minutes?) and cant be styles at all, they go all over the place, any ideas>?
Try a volumizing shampoo...worked for me...until i got my damn hair cut!!!
put up a pic so i know exactly what u talking about..
anywayz... if u like the way ur hair looks after u take a shower you can put moisturaiser (i bet i spelled it wrong)stuff on it
Short version: Learn to like big hair. ;)
Longer version:
My bangs dry quite rapidly as well. Lately, I've been blotting my hair mainly on the top/back in an attempt to prevent (well, lessen) this, and then letting it air dry.
I also comb my hair back straight out of the shower; mainly to keep it out of my face 'til it dries. Keeping the bangs together with the rest of the damp hair may help. Or not. I would at least suggest attempting to style it staight out of the shower and see if it helps.
Oh, and I also tend to use far too much conditioner. Found it helps keep it moist longer. I don't mean the leave-in type, either. I go through two bottles for every one of shampoo I use. Hah.. ha. :o You probably don't want to do this, but using a little extra likely won't hurt.
Good luck toughing it out. :)
I can't relate with the hair and hat problem since I don't wear hats. I did notice that you mentioned bangs. Did you cut your hair so that you would have bangs or are you going to let them grow out and catch up with the rest of your hair. I have read the opinions of one person in particular that has devoted his adult life to long hair and it is his belief that hair, in it's natural state, always strives to grow to the same length. Cutting your hair to create bangs stifles the growth of the rest of your hair because he contends that the longer hair will cease to grow at the same rate as the bangs just so the bangs can catch up with the rest of your hair. Strange stuff indeed but the guy knows something about hair. My advice? Just let it grow and grow. When it has reached a sufficient length, if there is damage, go to a long hair specialist and have them remove the damaged hair without sacrificing the goal you are trying to achieve.
