Picture Purged
As some (many?) of you know, back on July 1st I lost 7 inches of hair due to a huge mistake on my behalf. At the same time, I was going through a breakup of a relationship. About the only thing going for me was my dog! No matter what, he's there and faithfully by my side through whatever happens.
Anyway, just thought I'd share a pic taken just a couple of days after my losses (hair and relationship). I know it looks bad, but at the time I didn't really care about how I looked.
Anyway...at least the dog is cute! Hahahaha.

Oh, forgot to mention that music is always good therapy. This is Chris and I playing guitars, with Gunner, my dog, being as usual, my biggest fan!
There will be a live album of that performance for sale soon.
Hahahahahaha!
Cute dog. I think I'll end up having one like that when I'm older, they seem to be the sort of dog that slowly follows you about and stays loyal. I hate those yappy hyper barkers.
Matt
That's Gunner for you....slow!
Hahahaha.
Actually, he can be fast. He loves to travel in cars, so if I say the magic words, "let's go bye-bye", he goes from zero to blazing fast in no time flat! He can run VERY fast, but he's like dynamite. He explodes, but it doesn't last long!
He's usually very quiet. He's almost always very calm ,mellow, laid back, relaxed. This is good because that's how I am. We're a good match.
Be forewarned...English Bullies aren't the type for you if you're the "strict" or "follow my command" type. They're relatively independent. They'll listen and follow instructions, but they aren't the type who will follow orders like many other dogs.
If you get one, feel free to write me. Bullies are not the typical dog and have lots of things very unique to them. It takes experience with the dog to understand and appreciate them. They also have special needs and are relatively high maintenance. But you know, it just makes the bond even stronger.
You can't keep a good man down. Keep your hair growin' and your head up. This will all pass. At least you know your dog will NEVER break up with you.

Fortunately, since then I've regained a couple of the lost inches.
Here's another pic of Gunz. This is his "mean" look. Surprisingly, many people are scred of Bullgogs because of their appearance. However, tehy're the mildest, most gentle dog there is.
As you can see, even his mean look isn't intimidating! He's like me, can't scare anyone or anything over the age of 5!
Oh, and I'm over the whole relationship thing. I'm happy for her and for me.
Well great to hear that you're over that :o)
Hey here's the handsome doggy again!
Nice pics! And even if you say you're hair looks bad there, it must say even more for when you DO care about it!
By the way, you live in Texas right? I know it sounds strange but I feel like I can tell whenever I see pictures of a house in a South Western state!
Thanks for the compliment.
Yes, but the picture was taken in Kansas City, Missouri. The midwest. Note though that my friend Pat's house (where the pics were taken) is very southwest in appearence, not only by interior design but architecture as well.
Hey Rokker :o)
Sorry to hear about your relationship. I think many can relate to what you've gone through.
Hey, the dog is not just cute, he's awesome! I had one just like him, but mine was dark spotted. He's name was Max (aka Mad Max). He was my baby boy. But sad to say, he died of a unknown virus he had. I still miss him though.
I hope everything is going better with you..btw, what's doggy's name?
Thee Longhaired Gal
His name is Gunner. His nickname, for short, is Gunz. And yeah, he is awesome.
The relationship is no big deal. It was at the time, but it ain't no more! Hey, I have my dawg, and that's good enough fer me!
(How's that for good English?)
Sorry to hear about your Bullie. :-(
Rokker, wow! I thought as I was reading the post that you were going to tell us that this was a pic BEFORE the 7 inch loss. You look great! Your hair was really very long--and by most standards still is.
And your dog--canis superbus!
Robert
I think this is a very artistic photo! Nice composition with
a good balance of the subjects (you & the dog).
Your hair is long in this photo, so it is amazing that you say that at
this point you had cut off 7 inches!
There are nice waves visible throughout the hair and
it reacts nicely to the pull of gravity as it
cascades down onto your shoulders.
The dog's profile adds a nice touch to the picture
and the black outlines of his face and lips add interest
as he looks back as his owner!
Thanks for sharing this entertaining pic!
