Great one Bill,
At least it will put two longhairs in a good though perhaps goofy light.
I'll look out for a copy of the movie in the video CD or video tape shops (whether original or pirated)and if its good, I'll pay for the original.
Know any good movie director friends? Perhaps you can persuade him to do a movie portraying longhairs in good light -- computer whizzes, fighting hackers (thet Japanese guy who caught Kevin Mitnick is a longhair), artists, graphics animators, musicians, singers, scientists and so on.
I recall seeing an old Quatermass movie (British sci fi) about fighting some parasite and the hero of the story was a longhair who was Quatermas' scientific assistant and found a way to stop a plant from outer space which was taking over human bodies and turning them all into plants.
When I saw the first episode of Star Wars, I wished Luke Skywalker had long hair.

On the other hand, there are probably some Kevin Mitnick fans who think that Tsutomu ("long-hair-behind-the-ears") Shimomura is a bad guy for taking down Kevin Mitnick. The opposing views are very subjective.
The point is not about how heavily the court sentenced Mitnick and how just or unjust was his sentence.
Tsutomu (the longhair) was smart enough to trace Mitnick, even if Mitnick just got a slap on the wrist. Tsutomu was not responsible for sentencing Mitnick.
