I have straight, thick hair which I am growing from my crown down into a one length do and this hair has just got past my ears. I have bangs which are about half way down my nose. The hair at my back is between collar and shoulder length. I want to try some girly, feminine styles and would like some suggestions of what I could do now and suggestions for styles that I should try to grow into in the future. Any pics would be great.
Any competent salon could suggest styles for your hair -- why not call a few? Hair your length can usually be fashioned into something feminine, although a stylist may want to make some modifications to the cut to achieve the best results.
Bob- First, the suggestion from both my wife and I is to LET IT GROW OUT! We both discovered by accident , one Halloween, that she enjoyed the "girly styles" on me and that I enjoyed it too. Other than a costume party such as Halloween, though, this is something that we do at home just for our own enjoyment. At any rate, the longer your hair, the more options you have. Something that is alot of funis an updo. I don't think you can get any more femine than that. However, unless you are already really skilled at rolling and styling your hair you'll need some help--either from a professional stylist or someone else. My wife' having been doing her own hair for all her adult life, set mine. I think you'll like it too. Also, with longer hair you can simply get some of the many styling magazines on the market and follow the rolling/styling patterns shown in them. That's the way my wife tries out new styles that she might be interested in for herself--she puts them on me first and experiments with different variations etc. Once she has the rolling pattern etc just right, then she'll use it on herself.
Anyway, good luck--have fun and let us know how you are doing.
