Hi, i'm a 19 year old male, and I just decided in the past week to grow my hair out. Right now I just have a plain short haircut, no style really. I just want to know whether I should just let my hair grow long as it is, or should I get it styled a certain way to grow it long?
You are at a great time, if you ask me. You are probably in college or almost there. That means about 4 years of growth without having a career yet. Just grow it out and wear a hat. That's what I did. Unfortunately I cut it and am in the beginnings of the regrowth again right when Im looking for a job. One thing I do is feather my sideburn area and my lower neck area to make it neater in appearance. Just my preference. GROW IT... and dont cut it like me
You're going to get a full range of answers to this one... well, here's my 2¢ worth: just grow it and take care of it- don't get any trims or cuts for at least a year unless you start getting bad split ends (that's where taking care of it pays off). Also-- start looking for hats or bandanas for dealing with the 'in-between' hair length stages. I hope this helps
