Hiding long hair

  I have long hair and starting to get slack about it. I was wondering if anybody knew a good way to hide it. only have long hair in the center of the back of my head, so If I put it up in some kind of ball, THe hairline on the bottom is short to make it look like a short hair cut. Does anybody know how to do buns or anything like that that wouldn't be to femine and completely hide the long hair unlike what a ponytail does. also, I am against wearing a hat to hide it. thanks.
