Webmaster: Thanks for your response to my "Beautiful hair from roller sets" message. Saw your messages re IRC chats and downloading mIRC. I tried and it didn't work. I think I followed the directions on the mIRC homepage for downloading it (all 813,000 bytes). Everything seemed to be going okay. Then when I went into windows and opened the file manager, mIRC502S.exe was nowhere to be found. What did I do wrong? I'm eager to get that software up and running. Can U help?
I suspect you simply looked for it in the wrong directory. I suggest trying to save something else. Go to a page with pictures on it, for example, and right-click (assuming you are using Netscape for Windows) to get the menu from where you select Save As. Note the directory that pops up. I bet that's where your file is.
Webmaster: Thanks for your help. I found it. Now, however, I can't seem to install it. According to "Instructions for Net Newbies and Download Dummies" you install mIRC by simply double-clicking on the mirc502s.exe file cabinet. Installation is supposed to be automatic. When I tried this, I received a message telling me that I did not have enough available memory and that I should discontinue one or more "applications." What do I do?

This happens sometimes in Windows. Sometimes memory gets stranded. I suggest getting completely out of Windows and then restart it before trying the installation. If that doesn't work, I don't think I can help any further. You may want to try an appropriate newsgroup for help.
The #longhairedmen channel is not registered. It gets created when joined. I have not met anybody on that channel yet. I don't think the demand is that great. Probably the best be is to meet on #hair2 and start #longhairedmen as needed based upon who you meet in #hair2.
So far I have met Nyghtfall in #hair2 and just missed a couple of others from here. I didn't get the nicks of who I just missed, but the regulars who were there let me know.
As for the best time, I have found 8-12 PM Central to be pretty consistent as far as someone being on #hair2. There are other times it is used, too, but I am not on then.
