About 3 years ago I saw a program about permanent hair coloring treatment. (It was on 60 minutes or some other news program) They stated that animal testing had been completed and that human testing would begin in '97. The company has developed a one time, permanent treatment using manolin. Some of the details I remember were that once you did it, you couldn't change it,(you would get mottled color), that it was perfectly safe, and that the only people against it were Clariol etc. It was projected to cost around $500. They showed how hair gets its color and how the treatment replaces the depleted manolin. They even showed mice with red hair, blond etc.... Now I know this sounds crazy but I did't imagine this! There must be others who saw the program. I can not find anything at all about this on the internet. I wish I could remember exactly which program aired the segment. Any help would be appreciated!
