I have a recurring problem with my mid-back length hair that I can't really figure out and has plaqued me for some time.
My hair will be in good shape as far as softness, tangle free, etc. then all of a sudden it seems I wake up one day or go out in some wind or whatever and it does a 180 change in texture to me. There seems to be no way to soften it back up again or get it as manageable as before unless I go get a slight trim. I've had this problem for a while now and think I've tried everything else I can think of.
Just wanted some thoughts from anyone whether advice, suggestions or a similar situation. Stylists just seem to want to cut, cut, cut.
How do you take care of it now? What conditioner, how often washing it, etc. Does the problem only happen when its windy?
I wash it 3 times a week, inbetween I just wash the scalp and wet the rest, I 'm usng a Paul Mitchel leave-in Conditioner and A vidal Sasson conditioning rinse in the shower at the moment. I brush properly, etc., etc.
Tried applying Olive Oil last night (something I just read) and it helped somewhat by morning, but it's an approach that will take a few days to see if it works out and a little technique to say the least. If not I'll have to break down and get yet another mini trim
