Hi, Katie,
Yes, she did go over everything as she went along. She explained what she was doing and gave me options / alternatives, including curling iron and roller options! I did not lose that much length - only several inches - its still below my shoulders in back. Did it turn out the way I expected - yes. I really like it, but it does take a little more work than simply tying it back into a pony. And I find myself now constantly moving it back off my face but I'll get used to it!
