My goal has always been to grow my hair down to my waist. Well, I've gotten there finally (at age 30) and passed it! And I don't want to stop. Anyone out there have hair longer than his rear end? Anyone have pictures of men with hair to the butt or knees? I am so enjoying the feeling that I want to keep going! (And no, I'm not going to post pictures of myself--I'm shy about that.)
Thanks in advance--and thanks for this board, it's been a godsend!
Hi Tim!
They say that the longer your hair gets, the more addictive it is. Congratulations on the length.
I'm just starting out, personally. My last haircut was Nov. 1998, so I'm reaching just about 9-10 inches (my chin and bottom of my neck in back).
If I may ask, when did you start growing it? I'm 22, and a little insecure about my hair, because I'm in a somewhat conservative field- public relations/communications. To top it off, I also decided to grow a beard a couple months ago. I'm definitely more attached to my hair, though.
Adam
Thanks for your post, Adam. I've always had long hair--in high school it was usually shoulder to midback length. Since college I've been letting it grow without trimming. I also have a thick beard which is now about 6" long--I've had it since my senior year in high school and have gradually been letting it grow out.
I'm in the newspaper business (as a proofreader) so my hair length etc. is not an issue. And my boyfriends love it, for the most part.
I looked at your web page--I just LOVE your look! Congratulations on the growth, and keep going! I do understand your panic attack a few months ago--I've been tempted to shave my beard once or twice also. But like you I wait and the urge passes. Same thing with the hair.
I'm single, by the way. :)

Hey Adam, I too am in PR and I have hair to mid-back. I'm curious as to what area of PR you are in. I am exclusively high-tech. Sometimes clients are conservative but I think that is changing rapidly. Hang in there and keep the faith.

Way to go!
There used to be an addictions counselor at Sierra Tucson (sierratucson.com) that had hair down to the ground. Met him at a training about 4 years ago, can't recall his name. Looked very cool.
It can be done.
Check out a book called The Mystic Warriors of the Plains it shows many Native American hairstyles including extreemly long hair that flowed behind them when they rode.
