I am off to a fancy dress party tonight and my girlfriend has been trying to do things with my hair to no avail In the end I was put under orders to make an appointment with a salon which I had this evening.
My girlfriend is going as Robin Hood and I, with my longer than average hair, am goingto be her Maid Marion (Okay guys its just for fun!!).
I explained this to the stylist who was really cool about it all and she tried some different opitons. My hair is around 4" on the crown and 6" at the back and is layered.
Initially she tried a french roll but it was too short. Next she tried a single french braid but again the sides were too short to pull up. We discussed a bun, but then she had a brain wave and parted my hair at the back down the middle and did one braid each side - like little braided pig tails. She then hotbrushed the top and sides back. Pinned the side hair into the braids and just backcombed the top. For effect she clipped a little flower onto the top of the crown where the hair met the braids. My girldfriend loved that bit.
I have to admit this is just for fun and I did enjoy it. We are also off to a Vicar and Tarts party in August and both my girlfriend and I are going as tarts - any ideas for a style then would be appreciated - my stylist has already planned some ideas.
I just wonder if any other guys have tried wild and wacky things just for fun and what were the sylist like - the girl I had was great and really got into it.
