I've seen several posts over the last few months about bob hairstyles
for men. Now I think a bob looks pretty cool on a guy, but it doesn't sound like it's very popular. At least there don't seem to be any
pictures of bobs on the web anywhere, not even in the Men's Longhair
Site. What's the deal?

Here is a vidcap of actor Scott Whyte from the NBC show "City Guys". His hair is in a longer bob in this photo.

The picture I tried to post before didn't show up,so here's a link to it. I hope it works!
I think Scott has cool hair. Mine is also pushed back behind my ears like that, but not as long yet. When hair gets to be as long as Scott's, is it still a bob? I think of a bob as a shorter style.

A bob means between chin length and shoulder length
cut straight across.
I think it's a great style for men!

A bob need not be chin length or longer to be considered a bob. As long as it is at least halfway down the ears cut at one level (not necessarily one length) the cut is considered a bob. There are also layered bobs which means that the lowest length is cut to one level while other lengths further up the head ar layered or somewhat shorter. Actually, if you cut all the hair the same length, say 3 inches long, this would turn out to be a layered bob because hair higher up the head would end higher up the head. Anyway, I have a layered bob that comes to the bottom of my ears and I like it but I think that I am going to let it all grow out to one level below my ears. I love the style and its versatility and movement.
We need more guys in bobs.
If you want to see REAL Bob hairstyles. Try these two very good sites. One is at www.informatik.de/~kuerten/spec/bob.html and the other is www.aluna.com/bob_frames.html.
The first site doesn't seem to exist. Are you sure the URL is
correct?
The second site shows a stunning blond bob on the home page with
no clue as to whether this person is male or female. Since 99%
of the people on this site are female, I presume this one is too.
Does anyone know who it is?
this guy has the coolest hair! i LOVE it. i rolled out of bed one saturday morning and flipped on the television and there this guy was. I had never seen him before (since the show he is on is one of those teen saturday morning shows) but have caught it a couple of times since, just to look at his incredible hair. wish mine were as straight as this guys, but then again, we always want what we don;t have.

I would love to have hair that straight too.
Anyway, back in 1997 when "City Guys" started Scott
Whyte had a shorter hairstyle. He has been growing it
ever since the 1998-99 season and now for the 3rd
season it is shoulder length and blonder.
