My boyfriend had beautiful hair that was almost down to his waist, and about 10 months ago he told me he wanted to cut it short. Big Mistake! I told him to go for it that I don't love him for his hair,you know all that kind of stuff. Well needless to say he cut it VERY short. Now I'm just wondering if there is any way I can talk him into growing it out again? I miss his hair! He has told me if there was any way to get it long again without going through "halfway hair" he would. What can I say to get him to just deal with it and go for it? Any advice would help!

In addition to what Christopher K suggested, I suggest that you promise and do give him a lot of support (esp. with regard of how his hair looks) through that "bad hair phase."
A few posters on this board, and as I have myself experienced, you can make the "halfway hair" phase a lot easier if you use gel on the hair to grease it back. That way you get that slick look which looks pretty damn good for a long time. Make sure that "maximum hold" gel is used though, because "medium hold" or anything weaker eventually falls "apart" during the day and the hair doesn't look slick any more.
But moral support is very crucial. I have had many times where I thought, "the hell with this hair", but this board has provided a lot of support (directly & indirectly) and inspiration, for which I am very thankful. My hair is finally getting long enough to look pretty good.
It's great to have long hair.
Would you consider extentions? They're pretty amazingly real looking these days. I'd pick some up and have a go at it this weekend.
