It's been almost 10 years since I started my first succesfull long hair journey.
The first time I had grown my hair to my belt in 4 years without a single trim and obsessing over it. It took me 1 hour to wash my hair.
Then I cut everything because I was traveling for 5 months. But I started regrowing after I got back. This lasted for 1 year and then I was short haired for a while.
In 2013 I started my second succesfull long hair journey. But this time without obsessing about it. I've had trims in between and I'm done in the shower in 15min now. I've been enjoying both journeys but this one was a lot easier.
See picture for my hair, it's shoulderblade lenght which is not much for four years but I'm really happy with it :)
Hi Vincent, great to hear from you!I always think its cool when the mlhh alumni reappear after long absences.I do recall when you went on that extended traveling and cut you hair.I thought it would have been cool traveling with your long mane back then as to me having it would have been part of the experience. I am happy you decided to regrow your mane which looks fantastic :) Do you plan on growing it to your waist again or stick with where its at now? I went for terminal which is mid back for me but I'm happy to have that at my age.Cheer my friend.

Hi Mark,
Nice to hear from you!
I will keep it at this length or maybe a bit shorter, waist length was not for me.
I'm happy with shorter long hair, but it was a nice experience to have waist length hair.
Vincent
Have you tried other hairstyles, like ponytails or braids, or just prefer to wear it loose?
I wear it in a ponytail 95% of the time.
When I'm home and watching tv or behind the computer I wear it loose sometimes.
During work I have it in a ponytail tucked under my helmet or jacket, for safety reasons. When I work in the office I have a ponytail.
During sleep I wear it loose.
When my ponytail is bothering me I make a bun to keep my hair out off the way.
Looks amazing how it has grown, great volume and color!!
I wish I could borrow some LOL
Tes
Thanks Tes, borrowing will be difficult. Good luck with growing your own hair!
If I could get that length and volume in four years I would be ecstatic!
Yes I realise I'm blessed with a good growth rate and full and thick hair. I start to have a lot more grey hairs now but it is still thick and full. I had my first grey hair when I was 18, but rather grey then bald!
You are definitely blessed with excellent hair genes! It's fantastic to see you long-haired again. It's also nice that you grew it even longer than it is now at least once. I wonder where terminal would be on you!
Thanks Jason,
Yes it would be interesting to see how long it would get, but that is not for me.
I wish you good luck on your journey to terminal length. You were one of my inspirations when growing the first time.
I wish you, your wife and kid all the best, hope you are all doing ok!
Vincent
Be happy about your progress! 4 years is a pretty long time, congratulations on shoulderblade length! I'm glad you've found a way to make the hair care easier. I think enjoying it is important! Keep it growing :)
Yes I'm very happy with my hair :)
Settling and finding what world and what not is important.
I will keep on growing for now.
