Hello everybody
I've found this website by random. I couldn't imagine that a such website and community could exists. It seems that it's one of the only website of this type on Internet.
I had seeking if a french website of this type exits but it seems that's not the case.
I read this board for several days and it's nice to see that there are others peoples like me.
I've long hairs for 20 years I like this and I can't explain why.
I live in Bordeaux, France and my main hobby is funfairs.
If you wants an explanation of my nickname:
Jesus: do I need to explain?
Forain: french word for showmen. Peoples that works on funfairs and travelling carnivals.
Of course you can google me, you'll find other stuff about me.
Welcome to the hair farming business. By fun fair do you mean someething like a Ren faire? (Renaisance Faire?)
Your hair is looking great.
By fun fair I mean fair with amusement rides.
See my YouTube channel you'll understand: https://www.youtube.com/c/JesusForain/videos
But there are some Renaissance fairs in France and even a dedicated theme park "Puy du Fou" second theme park in France after Disneyland.
Surprisingly most of employees have long hairs.
My hairs are great but with this board I discovered that I need to take care more.
I learnt that I don't use the right shampoo, too harsh. Never used a conditionner I had always think that it's for preserve girls colored hair.
When I begin to have long hair I think I did the wrost things that I can do.
At school after sport lesson I washed my hairs with 2 in 1 or just shower gel for several months! Ok I saw that my hairs become frizzy and bring a shampoo bottle.
I even used Marseille soap if they were too greasy because it clean well.
For about 10 years I haven't used a hairdryer and I learnt that this natural grease are needed so I wash when it's too greasy, once per week.
I saw hair grow progress of others members and I think my hairs is 4 years old. I used to shorten them when they reach this length but I saw that some have really long hairs so I'll keep growing just for fun.
Welcome to the board, always good to have new members :)
Thanks you
Bonjour,
I hope other French longhairs will join us.
Salutations,
Anthony
Hello,
I don't know if my post wasn't send or if it was rejected because it was written in french but I had understood that non english messages are allowed. So I retry to post in english.
I don't know how it is in the USA but I had wery few remarks.
At the last class of middle school there was a longhair in my class and it was criticized by others students. It was the time when I started to grow mine and at the end of school year I also gets remarks.
At high school I gets some remarks but it was less frequent.
After I did studies in a shipbuilding school and since I never gets any remarks. I don't know why but longhairs are not uncommon the naval field.
After I did studies in computer programming and we were several longhairs.
Based on my experience it's youg people that criticize your hairs.
Most of the guys here are Americans, so only speak English. Many Americans speak Spanish and other languages, but few speak French.
I am quite surprised to see the styles of many young men, amazingly like the 1930's and 50's. I saw one young worker today looking exactly like a 1950's "Greaser". I'm a "Boomer" myself (born 1959) as many of us are, but it is encouraging to see some young long-haired men.
Anthony
No worries Jesus, most people here feel about the same way as you just described!
Welcome to the hyperboard! I wish I spoke some French, it's such a beautiful language; but here in California, I've always been grateful that I took Spanish classes during high school, it's been very helpful to me once I moved out to San Francisco in the late 1970s.
Your hair looks TERRIFIC, by the way!!
Long Lox 4ever,

I think that I'm on the category for who hair are part of their body.
For the photo I had brushed my hair, and they were greasy just before I washed them.
You want to speak French. Do you know how to pronounce my nickname "Jesus Forain"?
Jesus: no problem I think.
Forain: same pronunciation as "foreign". English word "foreign" came from French word "forain" that means "came from outside the city" like fun fairs ("fête foraine" in French) with people that came from outside of city.
Even if French is my native language, I find that English grammar is simpler.
French grammar with its many rules and more specially conjugation are a nightmare for all schoolboys.
But if you have good motivation you can be success.
