Just some progress pictures with my recent hair growth.
It’s coming along nicely around 14 months of growth now, with last trim 10 months ago.
Almost everything can fit in a ponytail but I wear it loose 99% of the time. In the past it was the other way around wear a ponytail 99% of the time. Really enjoying my hair now.
Only thing I’m concerned about is my hairline is moving up and it get’s thinner at the edges. Hopefully I can enjoy longhair for a long time but I will have to see if my hair allows. For now it’s barely noticeable but is does concern me.

Hi Vincent,
What an excellent update, and thank you for sharing your progress with us. That’s remarkable progress for 14 months, especially considering that almost all of it is long enough to fit into a ponytail now. It definitely looks as though you have an excellent head of shiny and healthy hair
As for any thinning, it is very minor, and almost imperceptible. Generally, for guys who suffer significant hair loss, the most severe is in their 20s or so. If one can keep most of their hair into their 40s, 50s, and beyond, any further loss is very mild, and they should be able to keep most of their hair for life.
I was wondering whether you had a goal length in mind, or are you trying to grow it as long as you can? My goal has always been waist length hair, but my terminal length was a few inches short of that.
I look forward to your future progress!
David
Hi David,
Thanks you for the nice reply.
I hope you are right, I’m 40 now and it only started recently. We’ll see what happens, for now I will just enjoy it.
No goal length just do whatever makes me happy. The goal I have now is up until which length I can wear it loose the whole day without it bothering me.

Hi Vincent,
Although my front hairline is good, I do have some minor thinning in the crown, and I take finasteride for that. I’ve been doing so for 15-20 years, and it has worked well, with almost no change in that time.
I suspect that you’ll be fine, but as you said, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on things, and if if gets any worse, I would suggest consulting with a dermatologist.

Hi,
You look better with a ponytail, also try doing a bun.
Your hair aren't long enough but when it'll reach your shoulders I think you'll look good with loose hair.
Greetings Vincent,
Great update as your hair is doing very well in your current journey.Love the color, texture, and length which I'd say is now beyond the awkward stage.Personally I'd rather wear my own hair loose most of the time but being outdoors if its windy or hot/humid its better having it tied back just for comfort and convenience. I'll wear my own hair loose mostly indoors where those conditions don't exist. Regardless i hear you as don't we all want to flaunt our hair and show it off. Keep up the great work on your own journey and as far as your concerns about thinning I find it hardly noticeable.Cheers.
